The separator sits in the tray to create 36 individual ice molds. Fill the tray 3/4th full, do not over fill. Once frozen, thaw for five minutes, for instant results run water over the top & bottom of the Tray before cracking the ice. Gently pull the lever to break the Ice. No need for bending or pushing to manoeuvre the ice out of their slots. Each cube comes out perfectly. QUICKER FREEZING, SLOWER MELTING: Comprised of 304 stainless steel, opting for the Icenator over silicone or plastic ice cube racks means a more efficient freezing process. Stainless steel gets much colder, much faster, than other materials, so it escalates the speed of which water freezes. Furthermore, it retains that cold temperature for longer periods of time, so you can leave these trays out without the ice melting as quickly as it would otherwise.
